Dysmenorrhoea , painful period, painful menses

[ Senguggut, sakit bulanan, haid sakit ]

A woman ovulates about 400 time in a life time [ one in a month x 12 months x by number of menses until menopause.] All woman natural phenomena such as the development of ladyhood, the bust, the shape of a lady, the buttock, the vagina, lady’s voice, etc are controlled by lady’s hormone from ovaries.

As the function of a woman or lady is natural and when the ovaries are preparing to release another eggs they secrete the hormone estrogen, which begin to thicken the lining of the uterus ( womb) in readiness for a pregnancy, should the egg become fertilized. If not, menstruation occurs as the vascular lining of the uterus is shed.

This notable process of the three hormone producing glands mainly fertility, the hypothalamus, pituitary and ovaries. The ovaries produce two kind of hormones i.e. ‘estrogen and progesterone’. The pituary also produces two hormone follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone(LH). After ovulation, the ovaries secrete the hormone progesterone, which continues to prepare the uterus to receive the fertilized egg.

If fertilization of egg does not occur, progesterone hormone levels fall, and are unable to maintain the lining. Menstrual bleeding begins approximately two days after the said hormone secretions which reach the lowest level. The lining of the uterus is shed during the next monthly period.

At birth, the ovaries contain several million immature eggs and follicles. Although several eggs may begin to mature each month under the influence of follicle stimulating hormone, only one matures to from the egg.
