A virulent catarrh of the genital organs, caused by inefection of specific virus -gonococcus neisser - acquired during intercourse with an individual previously thus affected. The first symptoms generally appear 2 to 3 days after infection. They consist of a tickling sensation at the urethra an increased secretion of mucus with paste the lips of the orifice together.
