Malaysian Astronaut Dr Sheikh Muszaphar Shukor - DR SMS hopes to get closer to God when he ventures into space last evening at 21:20:00. Dr SMS will do experiments with tropical diseases microbes and the protein for potential HIV vaccine, and also study the effects of microgravity and space radiation on Cancer cells and human genes.
He will return on Earth on Oct 21 with two Russian members of the curent space station.
