Gallstone

It occurs most commonly in women especially those who are above forty and have borne children. Gallstone frequently remain quiescent for years and only cause trouble when attempting to escape or is associated with some inflammatory disturbance.

When the gallstone attempts to escape it may give rise to pain in the gall bladder which is reffered to the right shoulder or epigastric pain colicky in nature, specially after meals or typical biliary colic.
